Biography: Killough (pronounced KEY-low) is a New Mexico native. He has worked for more than 12 years as a reporter. He started out as a journalist covering local government in Gallup, New Mexico, before spending a few years as a proposal writer. After deciding he’s much happier as a journalist, he reported in small towns in rural North Dakota and Wyoming. He also reported on energy for Cowboy State Daily in Wyoming and Just the News, which is based in Washington. Killough has won more than a dozen awards with the North Dakota Newspaper Association and the Wyoming Press Association. He’s been interviewed about his articles on iHeart Media’s “The Rod & Greg Show” and Fox Business. He lives in Pierre, and when he’s not reporting, he hikes and designs scenery for flight simulators and other games.
