Most of us are overwhelmed with the amount of information available, and it's one of the big reasons for distrust in some media outlets.

But we still need to be informed, and many of our readers and supporters appreciate that South Dakota News Watch publishes fewer in-depth stories instead of a lot of shorter ones. Here's how to find those stories.

Website

SDNewsWatch.org is where we publish all stories, photos, interactive graphics and other content. The home page also allows you to read the latest or by topic: agriculture, business, education, environment, family, health, Indigenous, justice, lifestyle, politics and rural.

Apple apps

For easier access on an Apple product, you can turn that web page into an application or home screen icon. Here's how to do it on a Mac computer or an iPhone or iPad.

Or simplify the view in the Safari browser, which also allows you to increase and change font sizes:

Email

The best way to get our stories first and make sure you don't miss any is to sign up for our email newsletter that's sent most weekdays. It's a quick-read with a short summary and a link to the full story on the website. We will not misuse or sell your email, and you can unsubscribe any time.

Social media

Our handle is SDNewsWatch on Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), Bluesky, Threads, Instagram and YouTube. On LinkedIn, it's south-dakota-news-watch. We're also on Nextdoor.

Social web

Get our stories and interact with us on Ghost, Flipboard, Threads, Bluesky, Mastodon or wherever you get your social web feeds at @sdnewswatch@sdnewswatch.org.

RSS / news aggregators

News aggregators are a great way to receive articles from a variety of news sources, including South Dakota News Watch, and often provide reading options such as adjustable font size. Click each icon to go to SDNW's stories or input our RSS address into another tool: https://www.sdnewswatch.org/rss/.
